Happy new year everyone!
What better way to start 2013 than to unwrap this long-awaited package: the new cooling system for our main computer!
Exciting, isn’t it? Think again. After spending close to two hours trying to understand how to install the part in question, we had to watch helplessly as our computer opened perfectly, then randomly shut down, and THEN stopped booting altogether (except for occasionally reminding us that “an unrecoverable error has occured”).
So back to square one. We are still discussing with our provider what to do next, but we’ll make sure to tell you what’s up once we get the news!
As for our work on the film, we’re back as hyped as ever, and we promise you’ll see new shots as soon as we’re finished with our SODEC papers. Indeed, we thought we might as well start the new year trying to get a grant!
